This page describes cookies and similar technologies that may be used on nereids-music.com and the choices available through the open-source tarteaucitron.js consent manager.

1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file or identifier stored on or read from a user’s device. Equivalent technologies may also be used to provide a function, remember a choice, measure audience or enable a third-party service.
2. Categories used on the website
| Category | Services / examples | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | tarteaucitron.js (tarteaucitron preference cookie), PHP session where used, security and essential preferences. | Website operation, storage of consent choices, security and technical session management. | Not required where strictly necessary. |
| Audience measurement | Google Analytics 4 — website ID: G-XLXQFFHG3J. | Measure visits, events and content performance. | Yes — Analytics category. |
| Advertising / conversion | Meta Pixel — ID: 657695105704439. | Campaign and conversion measurement; advertising uses according to service settings. | Yes — Advertisement category. |
| External media | YouTube via youtube-nocookie.com for embeds converted with the supplied helper. | Playback of external videos. No protected iframe is loaded before the corresponding consent. | Yes — Advertisement category by default in this implementation; configurable in rgpd-config.php. |
3. Consent management with tarteaucitron.js
Nereids uses tarteaucitron.js, an open-source MIT-licensed consent manager, to collect and remember your choices. Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel and YouTube videos are declared as separate services and remain blocked until you authorise them.
Your choice is stored in a preference cookie named “tarteaucitron”. No CMP account or API key is required and consent preferences are not sent to a hosted CMP platform. If the library is not self-hosted, its JavaScript file may be downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN.
4. Behaviour before consent
By default, Google Consent Mode v2 starts with analytics and advertising permissions denied. The Google Analytics file is only added after the Analytics category is accepted. Meta Pixel is only initialised after the Advertisement category is accepted. YouTube iframes created with the Nereids helper have no src attribute before consent.
5. Refusing or withdrawing consent
You can reject non-essential services on the first banner, allow them individually or change your mind at any time. The button below reopens the tarteaucitron.js preference panel.
6. Duration of choices and cookies
The Nereids website stores the consent choice for 180 days. The lifetime of cookies deposited after authorisation then depends on Google, Meta or the other relevant services and should be checked during periodic site audits.
7. Dynamic list and scans
This policy describes services known from the supplied code, but the exact cookie list may change. After deployment, inspect the production domain with browser tools or an independent cookie scanner and update this policy whenever a third-party service is added or materially changed.
8. Contact
For any question about cookies or data protection, contact Nereids at contact@nereids-music.com.
